BUCHAREST, ROMANIA – September 23rd, 2022 – Dow organized a cleanup day under the motto “If you can’t measure it, you can’t improve it” by Lord Kelvin. The event was held near the Teleajen river, Boldesti Scaieni city, on September 9th, 2022 and was dedicated to the 125th anniversary of Dow around the globe. About 80 volunteers participated in the event to support the corporate #PullingOurWeight campaign aimed at raising awareness of responsible waste management among employees, communities, customers and key stakeholders.
The Romanian event was based on 4 C pillars such as Clean-up, Collection, Community outreach and Creation / education.
Dow customers such as Baumit, Brenntag, Ravago, Elton, Hasit, HSH Chemie, Ariconsult and Plasrom Production also joined the cleanup efforts of Team Dow. The customers signed the pledge, showcasing their commitment to help promoting sustainable business and highlighting the importance of #PullingOurWeight campaign.
The stakeholders were represented by the Eurofinconsult, Agerpres, the Romanian Chemical Producers and Distributors Association (A.P.D.C.R) and National Environmental Guard – Prahova County Commissioner.
